Arborio PDO rice originated in the Baraggia area, a historical region of Piedmont where rice cultivation has been documented since the 1500s, and where unique soil and climate conditions give rise to a product of absolute excellence.

Baraggia is today the only territory in Italy to boast a Protected Designation of Origin for rice, safeguarding a rigorous supply chain that guarantees consistent origin, quality, and characteristics over time.

With its long, semi-round, and pearly grain, Arborio is the creamy heart of every perfect risotto.

Its firm texture and ability to absorb flavors make it ideal for rich and comforting dishes, from classic risotto to more elaborate timbales.

Born in 1946 thanks to Domenico Marchetti, Arborio is one of the oldest rice varieties in Italy, and through Italian migration around the world, it has also become famous abroad, symbolizing Italian tradition, authenticity, and passion in cooking.

Our rice is a quality product, 100% made in Piedmont in the Baraggia Biellese and Vercellese area, and its nutritional values make it a complete food rich in beneficial properties.
