Arborio PDO rice is grown in the Baraggia area, a historic region of Piedmont where rice cultivation has been documented since 1500 and where unique soil and climatic conditions give rise to a product of absolute excellence.

Baraggia is today the only territory in Italy to boast a Protected Designation of Origin for rice, safeguarding a rigorous supply chain that guarantees consistent origin, quality, and characteristics over time.

Characteristics

With its long, semi-round, and pearly grain, Arborio is the creamy heart of every perfect risotto.

Its firm texture and ability to absorb flavors make it ideal for rich and enveloping dishes, from classic risotto to more elaborate timbales.

Versatile and refined, it also brings elegance to salads, appetizers, and main courses, always delivering a full and satisfying taste experience.

In this package, you will find 1kg of Arborio PDO rice.

You can use this package as a "refill" for your jars.

Information

Created in 1946 by Domenico Marchetti, Arborio is one of Italy's oldest rice varieties and, thanks to Italian migration around the world, has also become famous abroad, symbolizing Italian tradition, authenticity, and passion in cooking.
